Regan Kania

Regan Kania attended Ohio University before transferring and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University.  After working in management for a large corporation, he returned to school and earned an M.A. degree from Michigan State University.

Mr. Kania has served MSU as a Specialist-Advisor in several different units, including the Kinesiology Department (College of Education),  Department of Family and Child Ecology (formerly in the College of Human Ecology, now called the Department of Human Development and Family Studies in the College of Social Science), and in the Office of Student Affairs in the College of Social Science.

Mr. Kania was recognized by the faculty in the College of Human Ecology, with the Advising/Professional Mentoring Award in 2003.  He also was part of the team of advisors selected for the Certificate of Merit from the National Academic Advising Association, for the Outstanding Institutional Advising Program in 2003.

Currently, Mr. Kania is an advisor for all students in the Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science major (IDS), as well as the Social Science Education major (IDS SSE), the Global and International Studies major in the College of Social Science, as well as the Sociology major and minor.  He serves as the primary contact for IDS students who are concurrently enrolled in the Honors College.
